So, here's the second pastel 'painting'. This one took SIGNIFICANTLY less time (like 1/7th the time) than the other one, because on the other I procrastinated a lot on the tomatoes. (Never doing something that repetitive again.) Plus on this one, I used a lot less of that whole 'opposite color shadows' thing, so I THINK it also looks a bit cleaner as a whole. I may be wrong. :)

Oh, and for those of you who are wondering, I didn't get this out of my head, I drew from a picture, like most sane people. ;) The picture I drew off of came from Wikipedia, and that picture is NOT MINE and copyright legal issues are not intended. Don't need any of that. o3o

ANYWAYS, I'm really not sure if the -real- picture, the physicalonpaper one, is fixative'd enough. o___o; It seems a bit smudgy to me. Hope that isn't an issue.

some veggies ain't for eating.

Because I think if ya ate these, you might get electrocuted and need a few stitches. Just saying. ;) hehe.

Anyways, in art class, (eep!,) we just ended a pastel unit, and I discovered that HEY! I'm actually pretty good at pastels. I drew some sushi and this funny surfer guy. (I left his face out, just because he looked a lot like a scary-ish teacher from our school. heh. No offense to scary teacher.) I'll upload those when I get them back, about two months from now. -___-; (They're being displayed in the school district's office. Whoopee.) In the meantime, I decided to go out and get my own pastels so I could keep at it, and I drew this. What can I say, pastels are fun :)

Abstract is so funnn :D

So I've got another piece to show you. This one was done around the 13th. (As of today, that was two days ago. XDD) This one is a lot simpler, as you probably can see. I also like the palette of colors I used a lot more, and I've decided that black has a way of making a piece a bit depressing. No more black. ;] (even though black matches eveeerrrything. -__-)

Screamo's good for something besides music. ;D

This was done in early August, like the 4th or 5th. Around that tiem.

So I was listening to some screamo a while back. XDD It's not that bad, really, the screaming is just hard to get used to. o3o; For me, at least. IDK about youu. ;D Anyways, I felt like drawing based on the musical patterns of screamo: the rough, loud sections, the sweet sections, (yes, they do exist!) the sections that are just in your face, the electronica bits, all of that combined into a piece of abstract.

I really like the way it turned out, but I think I might have gone a bit too far with it. (Lol.) Like, more might not always be better. It's just a bit....too busy, you know? Too much to comprehend. (I NEEED RESTRAINT!) Lol XDD Hope you liek.

Tried to make it portray a message like all the great Deviantart photographers can. didn't work. ;] But it isn't that bad, is it? nah. :]

a bit of abstract, anybody?

So, first off. I have a lot of spare time. :] So naturally, I get bored, and when I need something to do, I draw. And I'm getting bored of just drawing people, so I decided to do some abstract.

I'm not really sure what inspired me to make this, (gosh I use that word a lot,) but I made it after skimming through a book of famous art, so I'm sure that helped. ;]

Took about 2 hours. Colored pencil & oil pastels. (those things smudge like hell xD not sure if that's good or bad.)

So right after I drew this one, my mom told me it looked like Adam Lambert (aside from the hair, obviously.). Does it? I'm not sure. :D I guess there is the eyeliner, and the generally emoish haircut (bangs, spikes in back), but really I don't see much resemblance. Maybe you do. ;]
